INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION |
This talk presents an opportunity to learn how to meditate, along with some practical advice that can be applied right away in your daily life.
The morning will consist of a short talk, a guided meditation, and a question-and-answer period with Western Buddhist nun, Gen Kelsang Delek.
The talk will be based on the teachings of Buddhist meditation master Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, with guided meditations from the CD series: Meditations for Everyday Life.
Gen Delek has been studying in the Kadampa Tradition of Buddhism for over 20 years. She is the resident teacher of the Tilopa Centre in Vancouver.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE |
Indian Head Massage evolved from a traditional practice known as Champi in the Indian Sub-Continent. This massage technique helps to balance the flow of energy in the body for purposes of deep relaxation and healing. Indian Head Massage continues to evolve and to grow in popularity since its introduction to the West by such pioneers as Narendra Mehta in the late 1970s.
Susan Allen is a graduate of the Kent Center of Indian Champissage, UK, 2002. She has been practicing and teaching Indian Head Massage in Canada since 2006. As a practitioner, Allen combines Indian Head Massage with a holistic approach to healing, influenced by Chinese Medicine and the five elements, Reiki, meditation, and Bioenergetics. Allen views Indian Head Massage as a practice that can both heal and help us to deepen our mind-body awareness.
This introductory talk will look at the basics of Indian Head Massage, offering a voluntary opportunity to experience the massage first-hand.
