Retail Customer Service Associate,
Part Time (24 hours/week)

In this role, you will provide a high level of customer service, apply your knowledge of our diverse products and subject areas, use attention to detail with cash handling at point of sale, and assist in maintaining inventory organization and management.

The following abilities, understanding, and skills are imperative for success in this position:

  • Knowledge of Banyen's mission, various subject areas, and products
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency with basic math, alphabetizing, typing, and savvy research skills
  • Working well both on a team and independently
  • Interest and aptitude in providing knowledgeable customer service in all areas of the store, soundside and bookside
  • Reliable and available for a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Physical strength and ability to be on your feet for most of your shift

This is a part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 24 hours per week. Extra shifts are frequently available. There’s the possibility of leading to full-time, including staff benefits. The position requires a one-year minimum commitment to the Customer Service Department.
