Daisy Khan is the executive director of the Womens Islamic Initiative for Spirituality and Equality (WISE), a women-led organization committed to peacebuilding, equality, and justice for Muslims around the world. She is a frequent media commentator on topics such as Muslim womens rights, Islam in America, Islamophobia, and violent extremism. She mentors American Muslims on assimilation issues, balancing faith and modernity, the challenges of living as a minority, and intergenerational questions. Khan is also the co-founder of the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA). She lives in New York.
