Four Levels of Speech – Consciousness Expressing Itself as Sound, Language and Form – as seen from the Vedic & Tantric Perspectives
Tuesday, June 10, 2014
6:30pm to 8:00pm

Banyen Books & Sound

There is an intimate relationship between a spoken, or written, word and the way this World comes into being. The flow of speech follows the same progression as the flow of Consciousness through four stages of manifestation. It rises from that transcendental field of pure Silence as Para Vac. Through to the finest feeling of speech as Pashyanti. To become cognized on a mental plane at Madhyama, only to express itself as concrete and vocalized speech at Vaikhari level.

From waves to its collapse as particles, this view is in resonance with the Biblical – 'In the beginning there was a Word', yet takes dimension and depth of its own, unique to the traditions of Veda and Tantra. This gathering is an invitation to delve into the origin of Sound and Form which gives birth and expresses itself as all languages.

In addition to his Banyen presentation, Igor Kufayev will also offer an open public evening at the Canadian Memorial Center of Peace on Tuesday, June 17 and a weekend immersion on June 21 & 22 at Sage heart Healing Arts, 203 - 338 West 8th Ave, Vancouver. More details here.

Igor Kufayev is an Artist and Advaita Tantra Teacher. Igor has been sharing his revelations into the essence of Being since 2002. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and classically trained in art from an early age, he was recognized as something of a prodigy. A one time student at the St Petersburg's Academy of Fine Arts, he had his first solo exhibition at the age of twenty five and by his early thirties enjoyed an international art career in London.

In his mid-thirties, a radical transformation of consciousness led him to teach a way of Self-Realization, rooted in Tantra, where all cognitive and physiological processes are orchestrated by the awakened energy and creative potentiality of Pure Awareness. Since 2012 he has been a regular speaker at the 'Science and Nonduality' Conference (SAND), both in USA and in Europe. In September 2013 Igor has been interviewed on Conscious TV  (interview link). One of his latest essays, 'The World is as You See It' has been  published in 'InZicht', a European publication  specializing on non-dualism and radical self-enquiry, and in  'NAMARUPA - Categories of Indian Thought'.
