Overwhelm has become the new normal. Now more than ever, people are seeking a meditative, reflective lifestyle they know will bring them inner peace. But who has the time? These days, people find it hard to carve out even 20 minutes a day for meditation or create a few quiet minutes in busy lives.

The 7 Steps to Radical Awakening brings an immediate, powerful shift of consciousness which transforms your ordinary awareness into an eyes-open, quiet and meditative state. Through the use of audio recordings, graphic support, and written material, Ramana gives the reader/participant a direct experience of his 7 Steps to Radical Awakening.

The consciousness of the Radically Awakened state deepens and continues seemingly on its own, through the process of life itself. Once the ‘calm in the heart of the storm’ is identified, there is a natural tendency to be drawn into this center. Ramana also offers what he calls his ‘toolbelt,’ of awareness exercises that help to keep centered in the most overwhelming and stressful experiences.

The book includes a bonus of an audio recording of Ramana leading you through a Radical Awakening session, as well as an additional 2 hours of audio guidance and meditations which directly accompanies the chapters in the book.

Ramana grew up as a child of the Sixties born and raised in the San Francisco bay area. It was a time of a cultural birth of spiritual awakening, which laid the ground for the New Age movement that followed. Since that time, Ramana has known he was destined to help people find emotional and spiritual peace. In 1968, he immersed himself in Fritz Perl’s Gestalt Therapy and became a diligent student of hippy spiritual teacher Stephen Gaskin who then pointed him to the first Zen master in the US, Shunryu Suzuki. To this day Suzuki Roshi is considered one of greatest Zen masters of the modern age.  From these beginnings, Ramana has now been a Transpersonal Psychotherapist for over thirty years and a teacher of mediation the past forty years.

Starting in the Nineties with a sojourn to Lucknow in India, Ramana became part of a direct lineage from one of south India's greatest modern saints, Sri Ramana Maharshi, through his disciple Sri H.W.L. Poonja (affectionately known as Papaji). In 1997, it was Papaji, as Ramana’s teacher, who bestowed the name of his master, Ramana on him, and requested that he carry on Ramana Maharshi’s teachings.  Ever since Ramana has been sharing the message of his namesake, exclusively, in the form of satsangs, private appointments, weekend meditation intensives, and Pilgrimages to Arunachula.

Out of his forty-five years of studies in psychology, Eastern philosophy, Kriya Yoga, Holotropic Breathwork, NLP and Hypnosis, along with the teachings of his Indian masters, emerged a unique piece of work called "Radical Awakening" which Ramana has now outlined in his Amazon #1 best selling book, "The 7 Steps to Radical Awakening: Finding the Calm in the Storm of Overwhelm."
